At ZAMAR, our mission is to empower underserved communities worldwide through faith-based educational programs and fine arts, while also providing spiritual guidance and humanitarian support that fosters personal growth and lifelong learning. Founded in 2025, we are committed to building something that will last for generations.
Zion’s Ambassadors for Music and Restoration, Inc. (“ZAMAR”) was birthed through the God-centered vision and leadership of Maestro Jean Claudy Brilus, who serves as the foundational architect of the organization. Through prayer, discernment, and a clear calling, Maestro Claudy recognized a growing need for both excellence and restoration within the arts in the Body of Christ. In response to this calling, he invited four like-minded individuals to join him in co-founding ZAMAR—each sharing a commitment to God, His people, and the transformative power of music and creative expression.
As active members of the Body of Christ, we collectively observed a pressing need for growth and improvement in how the arts are nurtured, stewarded, and utilized within the Church. Many churches and communities possess gifted individuals but lack access to training, mentorship, and resources that cultivate both spiritual depth and artistic excellence. ZAMAR was established to help meet this need and to serve as a supportive resource to churches, ministries, and communities seeking to glorify God through the arts.
We came together in prayer and unity, sensing a clear call to create an environment where individuals of all ages, with a particular focus on youth, can grow in their faith while sharpening their musical and artistic skills. Our heart is to serve churches of all sizes, as well as underserved and overlooked communities, both locally and globally. Our mission is not to critique, compete, or divide, but to uplift, equip, and restore those called to serve through music and the arts. We believe that when both the heart and the skill are nurtured, the Church is strengthened and better positioned to fulfill its mission.
What makes ZAMAR distinct is that God is intentionally placed at the center of everything we do. Our work is grounded in faith, prayer, and obedience to His leading. Artistic excellence is pursued not for performance alone, but as an act of worship and faithful stewardship, reflecting the character of the Creator through creativity.
The name Zion’s Ambassadors for Music And Restoration carries deep spiritual significance. Zion is more than a historical place—it represents the city of God, His dwelling place, His chosen people, and the heavenly city to come. As Ambassadors for Zion, we understand ourselves to be representatives of God’s Kingdom, commissioned to carry His message of hope, healing, and restoration through music and the arts.
The acronym ZAMAR is also rooted in Scripture. In Hebrew, zāmar (זָמַר) means “to praise with music,” and it also means “to prune.” This dual meaning reflects our commitment not only to worship, but also to the refining and restorative process that leads to growth, fruitfulness, and maturity. Through music and creative expression, we seek to restore creative identity, encourage spiritual healing, draw individuals closer to God, and support personal growth and renewal within communities.
ZAMAR expresses its vision through training, assisting, and collaborating with churches and assemblies, offering workshops, mentorship, community outreach initiatives, restoration efforts, and humanitarian work. Our mission extends both within and beyond the United States, responding to spiritual, social, and economic challenges through creative, faith-driven service.
ZAMAR is more than a nonprofit organization—it is a faith-filled response to the call of God. We exist to raise up leaders, artists, and servants who will use their God-given gifts to bring healing, empowerment, unity, and lasting transformation within the Church and throughout the world. As God leads, our future vision is to see ZAMAR serve internationally, becoming a vessel through which music and the arts are used to restore lives, strengthen communities, and glorify Him across nations.
